  1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (‘Terms’) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (‘Customer’, ‘you’, or ‘your’) and Center for DNA Testing (‘Company’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’), governing your use of our website at centerfordnatesting.com and all related services, products, and applications.

By using our website, booking an appointment, purchasing an at-home DNA test kit, or otherwise engaging with our services, you confirm that you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age, or are a parent or legal guardian acting on behalf of a minor
  • Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions in full
  • Agree to be legally bound by these Terms
  • Have the legal authority to enter into this agreement

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

  1. Our Services

Center for DNA Testing provides the following services:

Legal DNA Testing

In-person DNA testing services performed at our authorized collection facilities. Legal tests include chain-of-custody sample collection, identity verification, and documented handling. Results from legal tests are admissible in court, immigration proceedings, and other legal processes when conducted according to our established protocols.

At-Home DNA Test Kits

Physical test kits shipped directly to customers for personal use. At-home tests are for informational purposes only and are NOT court-admissible. Results from at-home kits cannot be used for legal, immigration, or court purposes.

Specialty Testing

Specialized DNA testing services including prenatal paternity testing, fertility DNA testing, and early gender reveal testing. Specialty tests are subject to additional terms and medical considerations outlined at the time of booking.

Immigration DNA Testing

DNA testing specifically for U.S. immigration and visa applications, conducted in accordance with AABB accreditation standards and U.S. government requirements. Immigration testing involves coordination with U.S. Embassies, USCIS, and other government agencies.

  1. Eligibility and Consent

Age Requirements

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase our services or products. If DNA testing involves a minor, the order must be placed and consented to by a parent or legal guardian. By placing an order involving a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that minor and have the legal authority to authorize DNA testing on their behalf.

Informed Consent

By booking a DNA test or purchasing an at-home kit, you confirm that all individuals whose DNA will be tested have provided their informed consent to the testing. You understand that:

  • DNA testing reveals genetic information that may have significant personal and legal implications
  • Results may confirm or deny biological relationships
  • Genetic information is sensitive and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and HIPAA regulations
  • You are authorizing the collection, analysis, and reporting of genetic information

Testing Involving Deceased Individuals

Testing involving samples from deceased individuals may be subject to additional legal requirements. Please contact us before placing an order involving a deceased person’s DNA sample.

  1. Booking and Appointments

Appointment Scheduling

Appointments can be scheduled through our website or by calling (800) 889-5142. By booking an appointment, you agree to arrive at the scheduled time and location with valid government-issued photo identification for all individuals being tested.

Identity Verification

For all in-person appointments, valid government-issued photo identification is required for every individual providing a DNA sample. Acceptable forms of ID include:

  • U.S. driver’s license or state ID
  • U.S. passport or passport card
  • Military ID
  • Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
  • Foreign national passport (for non-U.S. residents)

Failure to provide valid photo identification at the time of your appointment will result in the appointment being cancelled. No refund will be issued for appointments cancelled due to failure to provide valid ID.

Chain of Custody

For legal DNA tests, you agree to follow all chain-of-custody procedures as directed by our collection staff. Any deviation from these procedures may compromise the legal admissibility of your results. We are not responsible for results that are deemed inadmissible due to a customer’s failure to follow established protocols.

Minors at Appointments

If a minor is being tested, a parent or legal guardian must be present at the appointment and must provide proof of guardianship if requested. Acceptable proof includes a birth certificate, court order, or legal guardianship documentation.

  1. At-Home Test Kits

Intended Use

At-home DNA test kits are intended for personal knowledge and informational purposes only. Results from at-home kits are NOT legally admissible and cannot be used in court proceedings, immigration applications, child support cases, or any other legal matter.

AT-HOME TEST RESULTS ARE NOT COURT-ADMISSIBLE. If you require results for legal purposes, you must book an in-person legal DNA test with chain-of-custody collection.

Sample Collection

You are responsible for following the sample collection instructions included with your kit carefully and accurately. Improper sample collection may result in inconclusive results. In such cases, we will provide guidance on next steps, which may include a free retest subject to our discretion.

Sample Submission

Once samples are collected and submitted to the laboratory, you agree that the testing process will proceed and no cancellation or refund is possible. By submitting your samples, you authorize our laboratory partners to analyze the DNA and generate a report.

  1. Results and Reports

Delivery of Results

DNA test results will be delivered securely via email or through your online customer dashboard. Results are typically available within 1 to 5 business days for standard tests, depending on the test type and laboratory processing time.

Accuracy and Limitations

Our tests are performed by AABB-accredited laboratories using industry-standard methods. While our tests are highly accurate, no DNA test can guarantee 100% accuracy in all circumstances. Factors that may affect results include:

  • Improper sample collection or contamination
  • Degraded or insufficient sample material
  • Rare genetic anomalies
  • Technical laboratory errors

Interpretation of Results

DNA test results indicate the statistical probability of a biological relationship. A result does not constitute legal proof of parentage or relationship on its own — additional legal processes may be required for legal recognition. We recommend consulting with a legal professional if you need to use your results for legal purposes.

Confidentiality of Results

Results will only be released to the individuals listed as authorized recipients at the time of booking. We will not release results to third parties without written authorization from the authorized account holder, except as required by law.

Result Storage

DNA test results are stored securely in our system for a minimum of 7 years. You may request a copy of your results at any time by contacting us with valid identification.

If a payment fails or is reversed after services have been rendered, we reserve the right to pursue collection of the outstanding amount through all available legal means. You agree to be responsible for any collection costs, legal fees, or chargeback fees incurred as a result of a failed or reversed payment.

Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the jurisdictional limits of such court.

  • Violation of these Terms & Conditions
  • Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Abusive behavior toward our staff or other customers
  • Failure to comply with our collection protocols

Upon termination, any outstanding obligations including payment for services already rendered will remain in effect.

  1. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
